Meet Mason - thirteen years old and already hunting for steeper lines.

From Upper Hutt, Mason’s happiest when gravity is doing most of the work. You’ll find him riding Mt Vic, Mystic, Makara Peak, Maidstone, or anywhere else with a downhill worth pointing into. If there’s a slope, Mason’s probably already sizing it up.

This year’s goals are simple (and slightly unhinged, in the best way): get faster on the downhill, send Rotorua’s 40-foot jump, and unlock as much of New Zealand’s MTB terrain as humanly possible. Cyril approves of the ambition!

Mason rides a Polygon Siskiu T8, and if it’s the holidays, the weekend, or just after school, chances are he’s already out riding. Cyril reckons this level of commitment at thirteen usually leads to either great things - or very tired parents.
